CAPT McKenna and LT Kessel of the United States Coast Guard were on the campus of Fork Union Military Academy today to tour the school with president, RADM J. Scott Burhoe, and to meet with a group of cadets who wished to learn more about enrollment in the US Coast Guard Academy. RADM Burhoe was the Superintendent of the US Coast Guard Academy prior to his retirement from the Coast Guard and arrival to take the helm at Fork Union.
Cadets Graham Luongo, Samual Marinace, and Xavier Frederick spent time with the officers learning about the service academy, the application process, and what they could expect of the school. During RADM Burhoe's tenure as Superintendent, the US Coast Guard Academy became known as one of the best colleges in the nation, and service academies typically attract the brightest and best students.
