Two senior captains of the prep football team at Fork Union Military Academy, both members of the offensive line, today announced their commitments to college football programs during a National Signing Day ceremony held in the Estes Athletic Center.

Brennon Garrison, a senior at Fork Union Military Academy, today announced his commitment to play football for Virginia Tech this coming season. Garrison, a 6-foot-3, 285-pound center who was named to the VISAA All-State Second Team Offense, will join the Hokies as a preferred walk-on. Garrison is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Garrison III of Orange, Virginia and has attended Fork Union Military Academy since 2013 when he entered as a 9th grader. He holds the rank of Major in the Corps of Cadets and is the Adjutant on the Academy's Battalion Staff. Garrison had been accepted to both Virginia Tech and West Virginia University, and had received scholarship offers to play football at Stetson University and Elizabeth City State.

Fork Union Military Academy senior Aaron Pace announced his intention to play his college football for Averett University next season. Pace, the son of Aaron and Wanda Pace of Scottsville, Virginia, has attended Fork Union since his sophomore year, and this year the senior offensive lineman was named a captain of the football team. Pace was accepted to both Averett University and Liberty University, but decided to commit to the Danville school based on his relationship with the coaching staff there, built over the years since he'd participated in a prospect camp after his sophomore year.
