Coach Winston Brown, head coach of the indoor track team, announced his selections for award winners at this week's Winter Athletics Awards held in Wicker Chapel on the campus of Fork Union Military Academy.
Cadet William John Stupalsky was recognized by the head coach of the indoor track and field team, Winston Brown, at the 2016-2017 Winter Athletics Awards ceremony this week as the recipient of the Most Valuable Performer Award this season. In addition, he was recognized for earning All-State First Team Honors. "Will scored in five events at the state championship and ran a leg on the victorious 4x400 relay team," said head track coach Winston Brown. "Will qualified for the nationals in two events and was a medalist in the emerging elite division in the triple jump." Cadet Stupalsky, a junior, is the son of Joseph and Jill Stupalsky of Raleigh, North Carolina. He has attended Fork Union Military Academy since January 2015 when he enrolled as a freshman. |

Cadet Ebruba Etta was recognized by the head coach of the indoor track and field team, Winston Brown, at the 2016-2017 Winter Athletics Awards ceremony this week as the recipient of the Most Outstanding Performer Award this season. In addition, he was recognized for earning All-Virginia Prep League Honors. He also earned All-State First Team Honors for his performance with the indoor track and field team this season. "Ebruba was an outstanding performer this indoor track season," said head coach Winston Brown. "He was the Prep League Champion in the 500 and was the State Champion at 300 meters. He qualified for the Indoor Nationals in the 200 for the emerging elite division." Cadet Etta, a junior, is the son of Braks and Yemi Gbemiye-Etta of Silver Spring, Maryland. He has attended Fork Union Military Academy since September 2015 when he enrolled as a sophomore. |
